Can You Use Your Iphone To Connect Your Laptop To The Internet

My dad's house doesn't have DSL and I wanna see if there is a way I can hook my iphone up to my laptop and get internet that way, cause it's really hard 2 type everything out just from the phone. Plz let me know. Would there be an extra charge for more internet usage?
