Is There A Way To Make The Iphone Bluetooth Headset Work Better

I bought the iPhone Bluetooth Headset from Apple today, and I can't even wear the headset in my right ear, and put my iPhone 3G in my left pocket. Did anyone figure out a way to fix it/make it work a TAD better?
